The MTAM School of Kemetic Philosophy and Spirituality
is the only authentic school outside of the secret ³mystery school²
initiation camps of West Africa that offers traditional Kemetic spiritual
instruction. Among the classes offered at the MTAM School are Medu-Myeet
(initiation language, commonly known as hieroglyphs), Kaat Ib (Kemetic
meditation techniques from which modern mediation and yoga have based
their practices) and Traditional Healing Certification (focusing on
diagnosing, traditional healing techniques and educating students
on modern medical myths). One group of students have graduated the
Ka'at Ib Instructors program, and another class will be graduating
in a few months. A new semester of classes is beginning January 3rd,
and registration is now open.
The Kaat Ib education is unlike any other that can
be found in this country. Taught by Master Naba Lamoussa Morodenibig,
it is the only Kemetic Meditation class that is taught by an authentic
Dogon Priest and Spiritual Master. Master Naba, originally from Burkina
Faso, West Africa, was educated into the traditional "mystery
school" initiations at age eight and has since become the world's
most recognized and authentic authority in Kemetic Spirituality. Because
of his advanced mastery of the initiatic knowledge, the committee
of elders appointed Master Naba as the only High Priest/Spiritual
Master who may initiate seekers in the Diaspora into the traditional
initiation system.
The initiatic education is not one that is to be taken
lightly, and students learn very quickly that the MTAM education is
one of purity, strength and honesty. As students absorb Master Naba's
lectures, the teachings he brings remains with them for a lifetime.
A paradigm change begins with the very first class, and students begin
to question their ideas about meditation, spirituality and truth.
"My attitudes have changed very quicky," one of Master Naba's
students exclaimed. Master Naba, while gentle and caring in his lectures,
holds nothing back, as his goal is to educate his students into the
traditional African system, which has been kept far away from them
by the modern society. Each student is eager and ready to learn, and
as they change and grow, their lives begin to reflect what they are
learning. The Kaat Ib class is more than the average meditation class,
as students are not only given meditation techniques, but the paradigm
and spiritual structures in which to use them.
The physical Kaat Ib techniques that are taught in
each class are the unadultered techniques as taught in the initiation
camps - the same techniques, mantras, breathing, body movements, and
positions that were taught to the Pharaohs and High Priests of ancient
Kemet (Ancient Egypt). While some techniques of the initiation have
been copied and reproduced in other forms of meditation and "yoga",
others have never been taught in this country...before today.
The Traditional African Healing course is a must for
anyone who is interested in their health and well-being. Students
are taught in more of a traditional Western classroom-like style,
but the content is unlike any that one will find in modern schools.
From headaches to heart attacks, students learn about the body, its
functions, and its illnesses/conditions. Traditional diagnostic techniques,
which do not require invasive procedures, machines or intrusive measures,
are taught to students as they begin to see how the modern medical
system has perverted healing into a mere business.
Very few people, doctors and surgeons included, know
the realities of the human body. MTAM students learn these realities,
such as how the body processes salt and sugar (and that it actually
takes much, much longer to rid the body of these two items than the
modern medical system believe) and the true process of seeing, hearing,
tasting, and feeling. Yes, some of the knowledge is shocking to our
Western-educated minds, but the health benefits of such knowledge
is insurmountable.
A new semester begins January 3, 2004. Students are
able to select the days and times of their class(es) as a majority
vote, and registration is open to all. For registration forms or more
information, call 773-722-7001. Master Naba is only in the USA for
a limited time... to learn from the Master himself, be sure to enroll
in this class!
