Light On Kemetic Values: Master Naba's New Book
by Bouneith Inejnema

Life is, perhaps, ones greatest teacher. From the moment of our birth, we embark on a journey of learning; our lessons are endless, and every mistake, success, encounter, discovery, and event contains within it an important lesson.  Unfortunately, we have been trained to ignore this gentle coaching of everyday life. Instead of listening to ourselves and our ancestors, we distract ourselves with television, music, and chatter.  Instead of using every occasion as a tool for growth and development, we point fingers at others (or, in the case of success, we stroke our egos) and dismiss  these opportunities without giving thought to subtle lessons contained within them. Instead of busying ourselves with the lessons of nature, relationships, and events of our lives, we allow ourselves to become consumed with our jobs, financial difficulties, petty differences with others, politics, and the drama that is created by those who wish to keep us stagnant and unaware.  We are not taught to question what we are taught or what we experience, and we are not taught to think deeply about life or its meaning; instead, we are taught that life¹s meaning is found in money and status, that movies and politics and pop culture are important, and that we must concentrate on getting ³ahead².  Because of our environment, very few of us realize that life has a greater purpose besides chasing the opposite sex, recruiting others for the God/Prophet that we inherited, or selling our sweat for dollar bills.

Even one who is completely absorbed in the system is sent subtle messages from one¹s ancestors, and if one would choose to slow down and open up to these messages, one will begin to realize that everything happens for a reason.  Simply put, there are no accidents; the annoying person who took the last coconut at the grocery store (the same coconut that you wanted to buy) while arguing with their boyfriend on their cell phone was placed in your path for a reason.  It is not by chance that man with poor hygiene and a runaway mouth who would not stop bothering you with his philosophical ramblings about the state of his life sat next to you on the train - perhaps, at that exact moment in time, it was a necessary experience for you, or perhaps it was a necessary experience for him, but either way, it happened for a reason.  It is up to the individual to think about this reality and use each experience as a stepping stone for growth and development.

This is not an easy task, considering the fast-paced, high-tech world in which we live.  One must make a conscious effort to return focus on themselves and their lives.  We are given constant tools to help us accomplish this.  Just as people come into our awareness and lives for a reason, sometimes our ancestors send us messages through objects, but we often overlook these messages because they may not be the entertaining, high-tech gadgets we have grown to love and depend on.  One may stumble upon a magazine that contains a pertinent article, or a piece of jewlery that, for one reason or another, calls to them, even though the individual does not know the meaning behind its symbolism.  Individuals who are reading this article are experiencing this phenomena in this exact moment, because, for one reason or another, you were supposed to read this article. The fact that you are reading this magazine and thus learn of the release of Master Naba¹s  new book, Initiatic Tales of Hej-Ptah, can be considered a message from one¹s ancestors as well. Perhaps this book contains an important message for you, or perhaps your ancestors are trying to guide you to The Earth Center or the M¹TAM School of Philosophy and Spirituality. Maybe one of the stories in this book will help provide the answers to your questions.

Initiatic Tales of Hej-Ptah is not just a book of inspirational stories that will help uplift and inspire any individual, it is a book of deep spiritual and natural truths that are often forgotten by those who, like us, are distracted from the natural laws of life and the universe.  Each story in this collection gives the reader a reminder of a law or principle that is often forgotten or traded for more ³modern² or unnatural ³laws², such as greed and corruption. This humble but powerful book contains essential keys for helping one return to oneself and one¹s innate spirituality.

Regardless of the reason, you have now been made aware of Master Naba (Traditional Dogon Priest, Spiritual Master, and Traditional Healer from West Africa) and his newest book.  Because there are no accidents, there is a reason why you are being introduced to this book; it is up to you to choose whether to respond to the message of your ancestors or ignore it.
