Greetings Kebtah Community,
What a Sidereal Calendar 422 year we’ve had!
Kebtah, in collaboration with Ankhkasta Natural Healing, our sister non-profit organisation, completed “The Dogon are Walking” US tour https://www.dogonwisdom.com/. We were welcomed by so many to share ancient knowledge and cleansing ceremonies as we travelled from West to East coasts. The grand finale was hosted at the recently opened New York Temple. A perfect natural setting with it’s flowing river and forest filled hills for the first full Dogon retreat outside of Meritah (West Africa).
We thank the Ancestors and Deities for their protection and guidance in all our Kebtah community activities this year. Cycles come and complete and our elders hand down guidance to remain in harmony with those unseen forces through ceremonies and divination. We will soon receive Divination in our Temples on how to honor the energies of the past year and how to adjust our efforts to align with what energies and challenges are coming.
Our elders remind us that challenges are a natural part of evolution and that there is always a solution. We just have to look inside ourselves and our community (seen and unseen) for the knowledge to Live Harmoniously on Earth. To that end, we invite you to join our online Forums (from October 14) and we give you access to exclusive videos of Dogon walking and talking (see below).
Looking forward, we are syncronizing the “Opening of the Doors of Initiation” at our Temples with the 423 New Year energies to support those spirits arriving to evolve themselves. We recently brought in the new year at our Het Aishat Temple in Togo. It was an opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of the year as well as to give back to the community who are the foundation and the future of this great work. View some footage of the celebrations here.

Our Community of Members is home to a wealth of knowledge and a high degree of curiosity to learn and evolve. Our founder envisioned the beauty of a diverse community helping each other to Live Harmoniously on Earth. Our online Forums ground us all with informed dialogue about the issues of modern life that threaten not only those in Modern society but also to the lives of remaining indigenous people.
In Naba Lamoussa’s Earth Center Awards Ceremony speech in 2005 (see above), he explained that “We are all indigenous people, that is what we all have in common. So, getting back to the indigenous status brings us closer to the culture and it brings us to a philosophy of preservation of humankind, because if we want to preserve ourselves, we will have to preserve the harmony of everything that is on this planet.” These forums create a space to gather and share in solutions to help us regain that harmony.

You might find it interesting to note that the modern schooling calendar starts in September or the Month of Tehuti (first month of the Kemetic Year). The Gregorian calendar seems a lot less logical with it’s new year in the middle of the cold and dark seasonal winter. What do you think of that?
