Greetings Members,Our Community continues to work hard on positive change so we can live harmoniously on Earth. There is a lot to do as many people's lives are being affected by the disharmony that continues on the international stage. Where nation’s leaders continue to war against people of other nations like in the Russo-Ukrainian and the Israel Gaza conflicts. There are other dynamics playing out such as the bloodless coup d’etats in the West African countries of Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger and their coming together to form alliances with the aim to liberate their people from imperialism.Keeping perspective and understanding in our minds and stability in our hearts in these challenging times can be difficult. During antagonistic times like these in the villages, we would sit at the feet of the elders and listen to the history and think deeply about the natural principles on which indigenous life is based upon to navigate our way through. This month, we launch the run up to the 30 year anniversary of Kebtah’s mission which will include a celebration to be held in Burkina Faso in early 2025. A Special Online series of events on 20th and 21st July will present the history of Kemet, Kebtah’s mission and Kebtah’s achievements and set the scene on day 2 for what the indigenous principles and way of life brings as solutions to the myriad of problems and crises that modern society presents to us all.Remember, as members you save 40% by entering the discount code: SAVE15 when you book your tickets on eventbrite https://30yearsofKebtah.eventbrite.comTo build on this, the website is being revamped as we start to share the positive impact that Kebtah is making through the work of people in our Community across the world. Our goal is to tackle cultural, social, and environmental challenges using wisdom developed over 10,000 years of human efforts to improve our individual and collective conditions. www.theearthcenter.orgWe also share below the highlights from our last Online Forum: Knowledge Economy: Preserving our Future.
We wish strength, stability and upliftment to those that are stepping on the ancestral path, as the Doors of Initiation have opened this month in the Temples of Chicago, Ouagadougou, Coventry, Toronto and New York.

Forum Highlights:
Knowledge Economy to Preserve our Future
“The purpose of Indigenous Education is
to fulfil our destiny, everything else is a distraction.”
Faiyah (10 year old Community member)
Over 50 members of our community gathered to share experiences and perspectives about this important topic that has been brought by the Temples in these times. Members on many lands including:
· the Southern hemisphere in Costa Rica, Ghana, Antigua, Jamaica and Kenya
· North America: Boston, Baltimore, Chicago, Houston, Indiana, Maryland, Seattle and Washington DC
· Canada: Calgary, Montreal and Toronto
· the UK: London and Coventry
A blend of ages from children to elders and from people raised in the West and those born in more traditional upbringings made for a rich dialogue that we summarize below.
So what is the purpose of education from an indigenous perspective?
In summary, family, community and to fulfill our destiny

How do you compare modern with indigenous education systems? How do those systems affect our health, our stability and how we live life?
In summary,
Indigenous education teaches ‘how’ to think and solve problems
in order to thrive in harmony on Earth.
Modern education teaches ‘what’ to think that maintains modern society’s division and focus on the material
How can we invest knowledge in children and ourselves to preserve the continuation of life? How do we elevate our children through the economy of knowledge when the world outside can encourage distraction and destruction?
In summary,
Invest in Education and....
redefine wealth & schooling (including homeschooling) to include health, family, community and spirituality both in and around Nature
We finished with an account of the Children’s Education Fund that has the mission to provide modern school education to children in Indigenous villages in West Africa. This will allow those children to become leaders on a global scale. The fund has supported 46 children for two years by covering school fees, uniforms, books, and supplies. This support is greatly appreciated by traditional and government authorities, the school leaders, and the elders of the communities in which the children live with their families. This current year we are supporting 100 children.
